Approach for Sustainable Communities
Jefferson County sustainability expert,
carpenter, CSA farmer, County Board Supervisor, vice
president of Sustain Jefferson. Greg David has been studying sustainability for over
30 years. In 1994 Greg created Prairie Dock Community Supported
Agriculture (CSA) and has served the public
ever since.
Sheboygan
has signed a resolution to be an Eco-Municipality! More
and more Wisconsin communities have begun to adopt sustainable
practices that help to save money and
natural resources! Learn more from expert Greg David, who has
been active and instrumental in guiding Natural Step Study

Speaking from his decades of political
activism, Mark Winne offers
compelling solutions for making local, organic, and highly
nutritious food available to everyone. 'Closing the
Food Gap' reveals the chasm between the two food systems
of America—the one for the poor and the one for everyone else.
- Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of
Peace. Mark will be there most of the day for book

Mary Ebeling - 3:00pm -
Transportation Independence
Nonmotorized Transportation Pilot Program Manager for
Sheboygan County. Since 2006 Mary has been working with a
group of 30 citizen volunteers, served as a primary author of the County's
Comprehensive Pedestrian & Bicycle Plan, and assisted in sheparding
funded projects through the federal process. She is a long
time bicycle commuter and advocate. |

The proceeds from this all-volunteer event are donated to local
environmental and peace organizations, and are also used to keep
the festival self-sustaining. For the past three years, Earthfest
has donated $3300 to local non-profit environmental organizations
and groups.
