Earthfest History

In 1990, EarthFest started as a small gathering of like-minded people with one goal: start a community-centered event that encourages the idea of taking care of our Earth – and each other – with peace, integrity and gratitude.  Originally located at Lakeview Park, speakers discussed pollution of our water, land and air. Smells of food and sounds of music embraced attendees who mingled, danced, and educated themselves during this family-friendly, earth-friendly event.

Years later, EarthFest has blossomed into an event attended by thousands, but the educational mission has remained.   Every year, we strive to give local businesses and non-profit organizations the spotlight. Vendors offer earth-friendly products and services, and educational opportunities abound.

We still offer free admission, and now work in conjunction with Sheboygan’s farmer’s market. EarthFest continues to be alcohol-free, making it a safe and fun place to bring the whole family.

Always held on the third Saturday in August at Fountain Park in Sheboygan, WI , we welcome you to join in the EarthFest festivities!
